I have always been fascinated by mathematics, especially geometry. The study of tiles, or tessalations, has direct application to many physical systems, such as crystal growth. Other physical processes, such as biological growth patterns, can be modeled mathematically. However, outside the laboratory, the chaos of our physical world intervenes and prevents these processes from pursuing mathematical perfection. These images make the beauth of mathematical perfection of theory confront the messy but nonetheless beautiful reality of the world we live in.
These images are available as 12 inches or 24 inches on a side prints. The prices, respectively, are $250 and $600 for matted prints. Prints of pairs of the Infinite Sun/Star images are also available at 12 × 18 inches and 24 × 36 inches, priced at $300 and $750 respectively.
